Main Duties:

Responsible for nutrition screening/assessment of patients enrolled for medical nutrition therapy
Anthropometric measurement provision before diet planning for a patient

Custom diet plans:

To provide total Personalized Medical Nutrition Therapy and Specialized Medical Diet Plans.
Conduct lifestyle education sessions regularly and inform the patient about diabetes management.

Do a patient’s history taking and ensure all details are recorded and are accurate at all times.
Guidance to patients about Insulin application techniques and related protocols.
Supervise the adherence of the patient to health education in follow-up visits and maintain a record.
Preparing Portion Control Diet Plans (7-day/15-day/21-day/30-day/45 days):

Contemporary Nutrition Therapy:

Type 1: Carb Counting and Dose Selection teaching
Patient Education on Carbohydrate Counting and Insulin Units Selection (I:C)
Design and update Medical Nutrition Boucher and education flyers.

Content regarding Portion Control Food Items for Facebook (Social media TDC).
Formulating the Dietary clinic & keeping of manual Records of Nutrition Patients.
The work in the Obesity Clinic involves individualized diet plans, weight management strategies, and follow-up for effective outcomes.
Act according to applicable Policies, Standards, and Procedures.
Participate in different outstation and in-house camps conducted by The Diabetes Centre.
Responsible for data collection regarding any ongoing project and any other task related to it.
Ensure proper and timely documentation/communication/reports.

Cooperate with the front-line manager for any additional tasks and respond timely manner to any given task by the supervisor and management.

Skills:

The medical nutritionist should have experience with your PMNT and modern nutritional methods.

A good candidate must also be skilled in body measurement and dietary testing.

Be an expert in creating individualized and quantitative meal plans for each individual.

Understand carbohydrate counting and insulin-to-carb ratios, and have up-to-date knowledge of dietary changes to best treat a patient.

Good communication is also important because I work to explain and advise patients.

Requirements:

These are some basic requirements for this job.

• First of all, a degree in nutrition and dietetics is required.
• And if the nutritionist has a master’s degree in clinical nutrition or a related field, that is a great thing, as it will give you a plus point in your job.
• Preference may be given to those with a certificate of education related to Medical Nutrition Therapy, MND, or Diabetes.
• You are eligible for this job only if you have at least three to five years of experience in treating diabetic patients or any other similar experience.
